Four-year-old with an ear for music

SURAT, Aug 22: It might sound incredible, but a four-year-old from Navsari city is actually an expert in classical singing and can sing upto 50 raagas! A student of J J School in Navsari, Malhaar Kirit Rana is already a prodigy in his native district.

Acirc;nbsp;Acirc;nbsp;An official release issued here said that Malhaar Kirit Rana, whose mother Ragini Rana, an assistant sub-accountant in the treasury department of the district, is only four and can sing upto 50 raagas of Indian classical music. Rana is now learning classical dance as well.

quot;The release added that sans any stage whatsoever, the youngster has performed kalavati malhar, maalkosh deshi, todi, saraswati darbari, purvadh naarthi, hans dhwani 8212; all different forms of classical singing 8212; to rave reviews in the past few months.quot; Rana is at present undertaking lessons of more complicated aspects of classical music under the tutelage of Prakash Rana and is also learning the skills of Bharatanatyam.
