Farah Khan calls her cook a guacamole expert (Photo: Farah Khan/YouTube)
Farah Khan recently visited actor Sanya Malhotra’s house, where the duo whipped up an elaborate Burrito Bowl with help from their respective cooks. Khan, accompanied by her culinary star Dilip, said he “makes guacamole. He is an expert.”
In the video, like the filmmaker mentioned, Dilip is seen whipping guacamole in a jiffy.
Ingredients
Half-ripe avocado
Salt
Olive oil
Lemon
Method
Blend all the ingredients. Guacamole is ready.
As the meal comes together, Sanya tastes the guacamole, and Khan asks, “Is there anything better than this? I prefer it. There’s no need to put onion, tomato, or anything else.”
Tempted to try it out, we decided to explore what makes guacamole a comforting spread or dip.
Guacamole is a delicious, creamy dip made from ripe avocados traditionally blended with lime juice, salt, and fresh herbs. “It’s a popular Mexican recipe loved worldwide for its rich flavour and smooth texture,” said Kanikka Malhotra, consultant dietitian and diabetes educator.
As Dilip demonstrated, you can easily make guacamole without onion and tomato by mashing ripe avocados and mixing in lime juice, salt, and fresh cilantro/dhaniya. “This simple version is perfect for those who prefer a milder taste or have dietary restrictions,” said Malhotra.

Malhotra explained that guacamole is packed with heart-healthy fats, fibre, and essential vitamins like C, E, and potassium. “Eating it regularly can support heart health, improve digestion, boost your immune system, and even promote glowing skin,” said Malhotra.
Almost everyone can enjoy guacamole, especially those looking for a nutritious, tasty snack. “However, if you have an avocado allergy, it’s best to avoid it,” said Malhotra.
Since guacamole is calorie-dense, it’s important to enjoy it in moderation. “Store leftovers in an airtight container with a squeeze of lime to keep them fresh and prevent browning,” suggested Malhotra.
She added that one should aim for about half an avocado daily to enjoy the health benefits without overdoing calories. “This amount makes a perfect snack or side dish to boost your nutrient intake,” said Malhotra.
