Five held forbuying8217; office

August 18: The Khar police arrested a gang of five racketeers who forcibly occupied a real estate consultant8217;s office by using fake documents.

Srichand B Singh Lulla was horrified to find his office in Pandvar Villa building at Linking Road, Khar occupied by unknown persons when he arrived to open the doors on July 26 afternoon. When questioned about their right to stay there, they brusquely showed contract documents8217; stating that they were tenants for a couple of months paying a monthly rent of Rs 800 and had already paid a deposit of Rs 50,000.

Lulla filed a case of trespassing with the Khar police who arrested three persons from his office and remanded them to judicial custody. Investigations revealed that the accused had forged Lulla8217;s signature on fake contract papers.
