Few takers for T in Terror

In protest against the killing of Israt Jahan Shaikh, shops downed shutters in the street near her residence in Mumbra on Thursday. The Thane Crime Branch on Thursday said it was 8216;yet to find any evidence of the girl8217;s links with the terrorist outfit8217;. 8216;8216;We have still not found any evidence that could lead to the girl8217;s links with any terrorist group,8217;8217; ACP Amar Jadhav said in Thane. The Thane Crime Branch officials carried out a thorough search of Israt8217;s residence in Mumbra and a team also visited her college, Gurunanak Khalsa College in Matunga, Central Mumbai.

Meanwhile, college authorities have been quoted as saying that Israt was a regular student and had secured admissions to second year BSc this year opting for maths and statistics. She had secured a second class in her first year BSc exams, they said.
