
MUMBAI, APRIL 19: India8217;s foreign currency assets FCA are inching towards the US dollar 30,000 million mark having increased by 112 million to US 29,679 million during the week ended April 9, 1999. In the preceding week, FCA had increased by a whopping 960 million.
The total foreign exchange reserves have also gone up by 112 million to 32,647 million, with gold reserves and special drawing rights SDRs remaining on 2,960 million and eight million as on April 9, according to Reserve Bank of India8217;s weekly statistical supplement.
During the week ended April 2, Central Government accessed ways and means advances8217; from RBI to the extent of Rs 3,697 crore, taking the total outstanding under the WMA facility to Rs 6,570 crore.
