The proposed reservations for OBCs are a welcome move to give justice to them.

It is the right time to pass a parliamentary resolution that all MPs and crown princes of parties be treated by a specially constituted panel of doctors who have all been selected on the basis of reservations, with the least qualifying marks. No MP or their family member would be allowed to travel outside or consult a doctor from general categories. After all, it is the prime duty of our MPs to instill a feeling of confidence in the hearts of these communities who have been 8216;8216;ill-treated8217;8217;.

8226; The proposed reservations for OBCs are a welcome move to give justice to them. As it is these IITs and IIMs are only producing job seekers who get fat pay packages in India and abroad. I request our government to now exempt SC/STs, OBCs and all minority communities from paying taxes. There should be reservations in our security, armed forces also. Moreover, there should be special protection for SC/STs, OBCs and minorities from corruption and other petty crimes. They should be dealt with very leniently for crimes committed. This way we can further divide our country, and proudly say we have unity in diversity.

8226; I want to put forward another viewpoint on the whole issue. How would the OBCs be feeling right now? When such a move is made, much to the chagrin of the larger population, what message is given? Isn8217;t the minister actually hammering in to the OBC population that you are different from us, you need to be segregated and be given free lunches as you are incapable of performing only on merit?

8226; We should conduct a survey at all Indian universities and institutions which allocate 50 per cent of their seats to SC/ST/OBCs to find out how many students from the reserved categories topped their courses. If the idea of reservation is really successful, then the students from these categories who scored lesser than their classmates from the non-reserved categories at the entrance examination must perform at par with them during graduation. If not, then what was the use of reservation?
