Eighteen year old hangs himself

Police sources said the cause of suicide was not yet known. Puran lived here with his grandfather. His parents are in Uttar Pradesh. Puran8217;s grandmother had died nearly a month ago. The deceased had studied till Class VII and was unemployed. His grandfather is working with the local Public Works Department.

Police sources said that his aunt, who lived in another portion of the house, found that the door of the house was bolted. A neighbourhood boy climbed the wall to open the door. Puran8217;s room was also locked from inside. They peeped through the window and saw him hanging. The police was called and they broke open the door. There was no suicide note. The cooler and the radio were on and the chair that he used to hang himself lay upside down.

The body has been sent to the Sector 16 General Hospital for post mortem.
