
BARODA, APRIL 6: Eight persons were killed and 35 injured in two road mishaps in central Gujarat in the last 24 hours.
Police said five persons were killed and 35 injured when their tempo overturned yesterday near Ralda village in Dediapada taluka of neighbouring Bharuch district.
In another incident, a bridegroom, his mother and a 15-year-old boy were killed when a tanker in which they were travelling collided with a truck at T V village in Baroda district early today.
However, the bride escaped unhurt, police said adding that the victims were on their way to Dhule in Maharashtra.
