Effort for POW8217;s release

VADODARA, June 2: Noted litterateur Rasik Mehta and director and producer Utpal Mehta will make an effort here on Thursday to inspire the Centre to ensure that Captain Nachiketa and the prisoners of the 1971 war are freed at the earliest from Pakistan.

Rasik and Utpal are slated to organise a public meeting at the Race Course Circle at 9 a.m. A token rally will also be organised.

Later they will write a letter to President K R Narayanan demanding that Nachiketa and those jawans who were jailed earlier should be released at the earliest.
