Musical family
Producer Ashok Shekhar Parivartan, Zee is also back again and this time with a music album. The album is called Amaanat 8212; Shekhar8217;s tribute to the late Sanjeev Bhattacharya 8212; though this album has nothing to do with the serial by that name. It has music by Navin Shivram and they have shot a video which is directed by Swapna Joshi. The video stars model Vishal Singh and the entire Amaanat family of seven sisters, two Buas aunts and Nigoda the servant. The reason for taking in this family according to Shekhar is because they are already established with the veiwers. It has eight numbers rendered by Vinod Rathod, Sadhna Sargam, Sapna Awasthi among others. The audio cassette was released by Sanjeev Bhattacharya8217;s sister Sapna and his two kids.
Write Exit
While on Amaanat, the serial that is, this is the first time it8217;s making news for the wrong reasons. We8217;ve heard that writer Mir Muneer who pens this popular programme has walked out of the serial. The buzz is that Muneer was to take up the production after Bhattacharya8217;s untimely death. But when Bhattacharya8217;s sister Sampa took charge of the company, Muneer was not very happy as he was not in favour of it and walked out. Muneer was with Bhattacharya from the beginning with Chunauti and this is a great loss for Amaanat as Muneer is one of the best writers in the industry who has written serials like Mujrim Haazir Ho and is currently writing Ashirwaad and Saans too.
Perfect timing
As you all know Movers and Shakers has gone five days and a week, which means Shekhar Suman has to shoot for them 22 days in a month which is actually not possible because he has other projects like Made in India, Vilaytee Babu, Geet Gaata Chal. So what he does these days is he shoots from 9 am-2.30 pm for his regular serials and between 3 pm 8211; 5 pm he shoots one episode every day of Movers and Shakers and by 5.30 pm joins his regular shoot again. Wonder how he and his producers manage? 8220;The scripts are written in such a way and the scheduling is done in a way that they can do without me for 3 hours. They shoot scenes in which I8217;m not required in that time. He says 8220;And if someone wants Shekhar Suman he has to do it,8221; he adds.
Not for sale
Talking of Movers and Shakers, the rumours making rounds are that before going 5 days a week Sony people offered Shekhar Suman an exclusive contract of 3 years which would not allow him to do outside projects for any private channel. Be it anchoring or acting. And if sources are to be believed they were offering him Rs.5 crore for this contract. And believe it or not Suman refused to accept it.
Winning ways
Manish Goswami, the man behind successful serials like Daraar, Parampara and the recent Ashirwaad is in high spirits these days. Last week the Ashirwad awards were held in Mumbai. It is one of the prestigious film and television awards. And Manish Goswami8217;s soap Ashirwaad won the award for the best serial. Govind Namdeo who plays one of the major characters in the soap bagged the best supporting actor award. There is more. Lekh Tandon won the best director award for Daraar which is also produced by Manish Goswami.
