Double murder case solved

The bodies of Parmar and Valodiya were found on Friday and Saturday respectively.

Providing details of the case, Pethani said that though Parmar and Valodiya involved, Valodiya had been attracted to Maliwad. On February 2, Valodiya and Maliwad went to see a film, where Parmar and her friend were also present. Valodiya watched the film with Parmar. Later in the night, Maliwad visited Parmar8217;s house at Sagrampura and picked up a quarrel with her family, a fact corroborated by Parmar8217;s parents.

The next day, Pethani said, Maliwad called Parmar at the STD booth where she worked and arranged a meeting with her. Parmar informed Valodiya and police constable Sanjay Badgujar of the phone call and, on February 5, set off with Valodiya to meet Maliwad at the Singanpore Road. They were followed by one Vimal, an employee of the telephone booth.

According to the statements of the arrested, Pethani said Usha met them and had their vehicle picked up by her goons. They then drove to Desai8217;s residence in Maliwad8217;s Maruti, from where, in the sarpanch8217;s company, they drove towards the highway in his Mahindra Armada. One-and-a-half km off the national highway between Kim and Kamrej, Valodiya was pulled out of the jeep and killed; Parmar was also similarly killed.
