CHANDIGARH, Oct 5: Tejinder Harry and Nabhi Sahni bagged the titles in the men8217;s and women8217;s singles categories respectively in the Chandigarh State carrom championship which concluded at St John8217;s High School-26 here today. Tejinder beat Mohd Tanveer 12-25, 25-25, 25-22 while Nabhi outplayed Palki Dhanjal 25-22, 5-25, 25-20, to wear the women8217;s crown. Tejinder then combined with Mohd Tanveer to win the men8217;s doubles crown also. The duo defeated the pair of Jagdev and Devinderjit 25-17, 25-9.

The junior boys singles title went to Jagdev Mann who got the better of Charukh 25-7, 25-8.

The junior girls title was bagged by Puneet Lamba who blanked Bhavna 25-0, 25-0.

During the meet Chandigarh team was also selected to take part in the forthcoming Junior National and Inter-State carrom meets.

The selected players are:
Boys: Charukh Goyal, Gagandeep, Jagdev Mann, Devinderjit, Baninder Singh and Rozerio.

Girls: Puneet Lamba, Harneet Chahal, Bhavana Sachdeva and Nabhi Sahni.

Men: Singles final: Tejinder Harry bt Mohd Tanveer 12-25, 25-15, 25-22.
Doubles final: Tejinder Harry and Mohd Tanveer bt Jagdev Mann and Devinderjit 25-17, 25-9.
Women: Singles final: Nabhi Sahni bt Palki 25-22, 5-22, 25-20.
Doubles final: Saroj Chandel and Inder Kanta bt Anjali Negi and Palki Dhanjal 25-15, 17-25, 25-16.
Junior: Boys final: Jagdev Mann bt Charukh 25-7, 25-8.
Doubles final: Gagandeep and Charukh bt Ramanpreet and Baninder 17-25, 25-16, 25-24. Girls final: Puneet Lamba bt Bhavna 25-0, 25-0.
Doubles final: Puneet and Nabhi bt Pallavi and Bhavna 25-8, 23-7.
