Assistant commissioner of PCMC Sudhakar Deshmukh said, 8220;We had given the deadline for the property owners to pay up the property tax till today, therefore people came forward and paid up the tax on their own to avoid future action and penalty. In a single day, we received Rs 7 crore. This has taken the total tax collection this year to Rs 53.40 crore. Last year, it was Rs 45 crore in the same month.8221;
