The Beginning Jimmy says, 8220;Spike and I met nine years ago, on the sets of the late night TV show called The Hitman And Her, which was one of those shows where bands who couldn8217;t get a gig, got to perform in front of an audience which pretended to have lots of fun. We were both dancers on that TV show and eventually ended up more popular with the audience than most of the acts that were performed on the show!8221; At this point he also adds that Lee, at that time, was a bowl polisher What the amp;k is a bowl polisher?. Hahahaha!! Loser!!

Before joining 911, Lee auditioned to be on Stars In Your Eyes, as Wet Wet Wet lead singer Marti Pellow. Jimmy had a number of jobs before 911, he worked at Kwik Fit Spa as an aerobics instructor and he was also a life guard at a swimming pool.

Jimmy and Spike8217; finally formed a group and together with their old manager, came up with thename 9118242;. They were on the lookout for a third member, for their group, when they met Lee at a show in which they were dancing. Lee had taken his sister Rebecca, to watch the show. At the end of the show he went to get Jimmy and Spike8217;s8217; autographs for his sister. The three of them got talking and gelled8217; as a group. Lee had always wanted to get into the music business but he didn8217;t know how. So they exchanged phone numbers and then Lee auditioned for the place and he got it. Finally, the trio was born!! with a lot of fanfare and dancing boys!

In March of 1996, 911 released their debut single Night To Remember, which was a remake of the 808217;s disco classic, formerly done by Shamalar on their independent record label, Ginga Recording Company. It climbed up the UK charts to number 38. In August, their second single, Love Sensation reached number 21 on the UK charts and caught the attention of major record company Virgin Records. In October, 911 signed up with Virgin and, together with GingaRecording Company, rose to fame. Right now, 911 is only with Virgin Records.

Likes/Dislikes Lee likes performing, having a laugh, being mad, frosties, hot dogs and women really?. Jimmy likes meeting down to earth people, performing on stage, music, football, anything energetic, ze ladies and enjoying life. And Spike8217; likes women and beans 8211; though not at the same time! He also likes sleeping with his legs up in the air ????. The beans make Spike pass wind8217; which irritates the hell out of the other guys.

Lee explains, 8220;All of us share common dislikes. We hate people smoking while we8217;re performing, we hate brown sugar, goldfish sandwiches, dishonest people, boredom, getting up early in the morning and fancy food.8221; Odd selection.

Love Life

Well, this may seem a little scandalous but Jimmy, though he is only 27, already has a six year old son! This is a fact he wanted to be kept hidden8230; but we have our sources. His son Scott lives with his mom and her husband. 8220;I wanted to keep ita secret because I want to protect him,8221; says Jimmy rather lamely, wouldncha say?. The cats8217; outta the bag, boy!!

Anywayz, all three of them have girlfriends. Lee still loves his ex-girl Julie who is already married. And another bad thing about Jimmy. Though he loves his fans, he8217;s been known to 8216;snog'polite word for 8216;to have sex with8217; a few of them. 8220;I sort of try to snog a few fans every night,8221; says the saucy singer. And if it8217;s love you8217;re after, then Jimmy is your man, again. 8220;I fall in love very easily,8221; he sighs. 8220;Quicker than anybody else. I fall for girls within 10 minutes!8221;
