Dhaliwal files, Dullo disappoints

ROOPNAGAR, AUG 17: The Congress candidate for Roopnagar Reserve Lok Sabha seat, Shamsher Singh Dullo today failed to file his nomination with the Chief Electoral Officer on account of technical constraints, disappointing the party activists who had assembled at the Mini Secretariat in large numbers.

The party activists had to return after Dullo failed to file his nomination on account of several gaps found in his papers. However, CEO -cum-DC Kulbir Sidhu said: 8220;Dullo returned after consulting his party colleagues.8221;

Later Satwinder Kaur Dhaliwal filed her nomination as an Akali Dal candidate. Her father, Ram Raj Singh, filed his nomination as her covering candidate. Others present on the occasion included Public Health Minister Raja Narendra Singh and party secretary general B.S. Bhunder.
