Denotification on cess sought

LUDHIANA, Nov 26: The Ludhiana Petroleum Dealers Association has sought to clarify position on charging the position on charging one per cent cess on petrol prices. Association president said that the cess was being charged by the oil companies at first stage and could not be withdrawn unless the notification issued earlier was denotified.

The petrol dealers, he added, had made it clear that oil companies would not give effect to order unless the cess was withdrawn through another notification.
