Unbeaten 60 by Sanjeev Kumar

Professional Management scored a four-wicket victory over Chand Cricket Club in the DDCA league match at Kotla 1, the winning runs an on-side six coming from Sanjeev Kumar, who remained unbeaten with 60. The winners, chasing a target of 249, romped home with six ball remaining.

Put in to bat, Chand made 248 for eight in 40 overs, Tony Singh 64, Rajat Khanna 46 and Sohail Rauf 42 being the main scorers. Raman Ghai 3 for 48 and Rajat Khanna 2 for 31 were the most successful bowlers.

Professional Management replied with 253 for six. Sanjeev Kumar struck three sixes and five fours in his unbeaten 60 while Anil Kumar 55 and Manish Kumar 49 were the other main contributors.

In another match at Kotla 1, in A-1 division, J N Golden beat Winsom by two wickets.

Dass dazzles

An all-round performance by Sarachini Dass 4 for 21 and 57 not out helped SGS Thomson defeat Times Bank by 10 wickets in the fifth Teri Cup at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan ground. In another match, Maruti beat HUDCO by 45 runs.

Negi, Suhail excel

DHA knockout

The Delhi Hockey Association DHA knockout tournament will be held at the Shivaji Stadium from January 27 in which all affiliated clubs and institutions are expected to participate. The final will be played on February 10. The opening day will feature two matches: Azad Club vs Guru Harkishan XI 2 pm and Delhi Youth vs Delhi Stars 3.30 pm.

Raman shines

Raman Iyer 46 in 30 balls and Vohra 4 for 24 helped West Zone defeat East Zone by 105 runs in the fifth All India Oriental Tournament at Shivaji College.

West: 235 Raman Iyer 46, S Gonsalvies 44, J Ingle 32, B Mohanty 3 for 40, S Ghosh 3 for 27.

DSGMC win

DSGMC thrashed Efficient Cricket Club by 10 wickets in the DSGMC Sunday League match today.
