AHMEDNAGAR, March 17: Agriculture and Dairy Development Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe has said that a decision on giving higher prices to milk producers will be taken only after the conclusion of the current session of the State legislature.

Vikhe gave this assurance while addressing a farmers’ rally at Jamkhed, recently. Reviewing the achievements of the saffron alliance government in the state, Vikhe refuted the charge that the alliance government had made Maharashtra a bankrupt state. He claimed that development works accomplished by the Congress regime in 50 years were achieved by the alliance government within four years.

The minister also announced that the State Government has decided to terminate the permits of traders who provide low quality seeds to farmers. He alleged that the directors of the district cooperative banks were using the bank for political purposes.
