DC Model wins debate contest

Junior group: Pritika Govt Model High School, Chandigarh, Shashi DAV Centenary Public School, Chandigarh and Yadavindra Singh C.L. Aggarwal DAV Model School, Chandigarh. Consolation prizes went to Bhavana Sarv Hitkari Sr Sec School, Chandigarh and Jasranjit Kaur Dev Samaj Sr Sec School, Chandigarh.

The participants recited poetry on the following topics: Punjab, Mother Heroes of Sikhism, Non-violence in India, Freedom and Nationalism.Eight teams contested for awards in the Hindi debate on quot;Indianisation of education is meaningfulquot;. While Inderdeep D.C. Model Sr Sec School, Panchkula was declared the best speaker, Joti Deep S.D. Public School, Chandigarh and Varun Uppal D.C. Model Sr Sec School, Panchkula bagged the second and third prizes, respectively.

Consolation prizes went to Rajan Vishal DAV Sr Sec School, Chandigarh and Asha Maj R. N. Kapoor DAV Public School, Ambala Cantt and Ruchika DAV Public School, Naraingarh.
