
Calcutta, Aug 1: International Cricket Council ICC President Jagmohan Dalmiya today accused Sahara India of adopting double standards8217; with regard to the holding of the Indo-Pak Sahara Cup cricket series at Toronto.Reacting to Sahara India managing director Subroto Roy8217;s statement yesterday criticising him for supporting revival of the series, the ICC president said, 8220;it was only last Thursday that the marketing agents of Sahara India wrote to International Management Group IMG about the company8217;s support for the Cup.8221;
Dalmiya8217;s office here released a copy of the letter which said, 8220;subject to the government8217;s approval to allow India to participate, Sahara India Parivar shall continue to honour their commitment towards Sahara Cup. On a positive note, looking forward to Sahara Cup this year.8221;
Coming down heavily on Roy, Dalmiya said in a statement, 8220;Roy is posing to be a patriot and treating others as traitors, which is certainly not acceptable. Rather, it seems that he believes in doublestandards.8221;
