Man falls to his death
An unidentified man, aged about 35, died after falling on a generator room of a building on Thursday afternoon. Gopal Bhursinh Rathod, watchman of Krishna Complex at Sardar Circle, told the Rander police that he heard a loud thud on the roof of the generator room around 2 pm. He and other residents of the building rushed to the spot to discover the body. The police have not identified the body; nor are they certain how he fell there. PSI K C Damor of the police station is investigating the case.

Burns death
A 25-year-old woman resident of the Hirabaug area of the city died on Thursday morning at the New Civil Hospital, where she was admitted with severe burn injuries on Wednesday evening. Quoting her dying declaration, the police said she had been cooking when the stove exploded. A case has been registered under CrPC 174.

Seven arrested
Seven people, all residents of Nishal Falia, Hazira village, were arrested on Thursday afternoon for the theft of goods worth Rs 25,000. The seven, who have been identified as Keshav Govind Patel, Ashwin Ramu Patel, Umesh Dahya Patel, Mukesh Hari Patel, Arvind Thakore Patel, Chiman Magan Patel and Dinesh Magan Patel, stole doors, windows, mirrors, fans, regulators and taps of a couple of locked houses in the area on Wednesday night. The stolen goods were recovered from bushes on the outskirts of the village, the police said.
