Burns death
24-year-old Mohammed Arif Hussain, a resident of Jhalawad, Begumpura, died on Wednesday morning in a private clinic where he was being treated for burn injuries for the past nine days. According to the dying declaration of the victim, he was sleeping on a bed beside which a stove was placed. He rolled over in his sleep and fell on the stove, sustaining burn injuries. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Mahidharpura police station.

Vehicle theft
A TVS Scooty moped GJ 5 EE 1573 belonging to Vijay Balkrishna Kale was reported stolen from opposite Gayatri Park, Gopipura, the Athwa Lines police said. According to Kale, a resident of Municipal Staff Quarters, Katargam, he parked the vehicle at Gopipura and returned a few minutes later to find it stolen. The police have registered a case under IPC 379 and are investigating further.
