
Electrocuted
Surat: Five-year-old Ashok Gurumurty Swahi, a resident of plot no 126 in Ganeshnagar area of Pandesara, died on the spot when he accidentally toched an earthing wire. According to the Pandesara police, the child was playing when he accidentally touched the wire on Sunday evening. The police have registered a case of accidental death under section 174 of the CrPC.
Suicides
A 32-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging in her house at Ravinagar Society, Amroli on Monday morning. According to a case registered in the Katargam police station on Monday morning, Chanduben Rajesh Udesh committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope in her balcony. The cause behind the extreme step has still not been ascertained. The Katargam police have registered a case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In another case registered in the Katargam police station, Amrut Virji, 38, a resident of Ramanagar in Ved Road also committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan in his house.
Cash stolen
An unspecified amount of cash and valuables were reported stolen in a temple theft on Sunday night. Gauswami Ganpatgiri Bhagwangiri, pujari of Bharat Mata Temple in Kribhco Township, in a complaint with the Ichhapore police said unidentified persons broke open the offering box in the temple between midnight and dawn and decamped with cash and valuables. No arrests have been made in the case.
One ends life
Vadodara: A Resident of the Vadodara Railway Colony at Nava Yard, Aarti Parmar, 20, allegedly committed suicide on Saturday by setting herself on fire. According to an eye-witness account filed by the Railway Police, the deceased, was against her mother-in-law8217;s alleged indulgence in prostitution, and poured kerosene and set herself ablaze. She was admitted to the Railway Hospital in the area but succumbed to her burns before the police could conduct an inquiry.
