Couple found murdered

According to police, devotees visiting Ranchhodji temple of Chhani smelt foul smell emanating from a room locked outside and reported the matter to the police.

After breaking open the door, the couple were found killed with stab injuries all over their bodies. The police found a sharp edged instrument used for cutting ice that lay near the body of the couple and suspect that it was used in murder.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the couple had come to Vadodara on the eve of Holi looking for job. They rented a single room house. Katheria used to work with a tempo owner.

Though police have failed to make any arrest so far, they suspect the involvement of some persons known to them.
