Cop suspended for negligence

CHANDIGARH, Sept 17: Constable Kuldip Singh, from whose custody a theft-accused had escaped yesterday, has been suspended for negligence. A case has also been registered. The accused, Sanjiv Sharma, reportedly gave the police the slip when he was being produced before a magistrate in the district courts. He was held for allegedly stealing two trousers from a shop a few days ago. A few months ago too, an accused had escaped from the district courts.
