Consumers Day observed

CHANDIGARH, March 21: The president of Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat, while addressing a gathering at a function organised by the local unit of Grahak Panchayat, said that the organisation was striving for the establishment of a consumer-oriented society.

The function was held at the local Gandhi Smarak Bhawan to mark Consumers Day. President of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Punjab, Justice Jag Bhushan Garg retd opined that the Grahak Panchayat should provide legal aid to consumer litigants wherever it was required.

Justice M. R. Agnihotri, Justice A. L. Bahari and Yatinder Sharma of the local unit also spoke on the occasion.
