CHANDIGARH, Nov 20: The Haryana Rajya Sainik Board will open a new computer centre at Rohtak and upgrade its Panchkula computer centre.Savitri Varma, chairperson of the management committee of Sainik Parivar Bhawan, said today that the Sainik Parivar Bhawans in Haryana were providing excellent training environment for one year diploma in Hindi and English stenography, cutting, tailoring and computers.

These courses have been recognised by the Director, General Employment and Training, Union Ministry of Labour. Training is also being imparted in handloom, hosiery and cut glass.Savitri Varma, wife of the chief secretary, said that the Sainik Parivar Bhawan is also organising coaching for PMT, CET and career guidance courses for class II and III services at Sainik School, Kunjpura (Karnal) and pre-recruitment training for enrolment into army at Bhiwani.

She said Sainik Parivar Bhawans were being run to rehabilitate war widows and dependents of armed forces personnel since 1972. After the 1971 Indo-Pak war, there was a Sainik Parivar Bhawan at Chhachhrauli. Later, seven more Sainik Parivar Bhawans at Panchkula, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Rewari, Charkhi Dadri, Hisar and Jind were set up.
