“During questioning, both accused admitted their role and disclosed that they are school dropouts who have been indulging in pickpocketing, snatching, and robbery. They usually target gullible people after pushing and collision in crowds and isolated places. Then, they engage the victims in altercation, steal valuables and flee,” DCP Banthia stated.
Killa has 12 previous cases of robbery, snatching, theft, and Arms Act registered against him and was released from jail in October 2024. Meanwhile, Aakash has nine previous cases lodged against him and was released from jail two weeks ago. Further investigation is underway.
