
PUNE, Jan 7: The city currently reeling under cold weather conditions is likely to witness a futher dip in the mercury by two to three degrees which will continue for two days, according to the weather department.
The IMD has sounded a 8220;low temperature warning8221; for Dhule and Nasik districts where the mercury is expected to drop to five degree Celsius during the next two nights.
Speaking to The Indian Express, S K Prasad of the forecasting division attributed to the fall in temperature to the low pressure area over plains of West Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Haryana and neighbourhood. 8220;The system will move eastward and dry cool northerly winds are expected to blow bringing down the night temeperatures,8221; he said adding that the mercury will fall in north madhya Maharashtra as a result.
