COAI to move SC on HC order

NEW DELHI, July 23: The Cellular Operators Association of India COAI is contemplating to move the Supreme Court against the recent Delhi High Court order setting aside the order of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India TRAI on the entry of Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Limited MTNL into cellular services. The COAI has taken a decision to this effect recently, and is currently engaged in ascertaining the pros and cons of various sections of the TRAI Act in approaching the apex court, a COAI spokesman said.

quot;We are studying the TRAI Act in view of the recent High Court order as to which clause of the act can be evoked in getting fair justice from the apex courtquot;, he said. The association would finalise these details in a couple of days, he said.
