CHANDIGARH, MAY 16: Fine batting performance by Harinder 67 enabled CNS XI score 5-wicket win over Tari Cricket Club and enter the semifinal of the fourth Nand Lal Memorial cricket tournament held at the PGI here today.

Batting first Tari XI scored 207 in the allotted 30 overs for the loss of five wickets.

CNS XI bowlers restricted the rival batsmen. Jatinder 52 not out, Sandeep Saini 44 not out and Vikram 42 were the main run getters for the team, who could score in double figure.

Ajay Sikka and Manu Bedi scalped two wickets each for the winners.

In reply CNS XI got the winning total in the 22nd over. Harinder 67 and Rahul Panta 63 mainly contributed to the score.

Gurinder excels
Gurinder Saini 58 and Naresh Dhingra 5 for 17 enabled Godrej Cricket Club beat Rangers Cricket Club by 85 runs in the first Sarab Memorial cricket tournament held at Government Senior School, SAS Nagar. Godrej CC scored 187 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Gurinder 58 and Vaneet Chwala 34 were the main batsmen to score for the team.

Chasing the total Rangers CC were bundled out for a paltry score of 98 runs.
