
SINGAPORE, OCT 1: There were no medals for India on the opening day of the Asian Junior athletic championships, as China announced their domination of the biennial championships yesterday night.
Indian shot putter Saroj Sihad8217;s effort, a fourth place in women8217;s shot put was the best showing from India. In other events, India8217;s N Gojen was sixth in 5,000m, after looking a medal contender till the final lap.
