
Cabinet expansion by weekend?
In another see-saw, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee is likely to go in for a mini Cabinet expansion, most probably on Saturday. It is understood that this is being done under pressure from deposed Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma and to contain the Jat backlash.
Sushma brings in new faces
The Bharatiya Janata Party BJP ministry in Delhi, headed by Sushma Swaraj, was today expanded with the induction of six ministers. But for the omission of Rajendra Gupta, who had held the transport and excise departments, and the induction of Devender Singh, Swaraj has retained the Cabinet headed by Sahib Singh Verma.
8 killed in AP bomb attacks
Eight persons belonging to the Congress were killed and 28 houses set on fire by faction rivals in a series of bomb attacks at Durvesi village in Gadivemula mandal this afternoon.
