Jaya still reviewing support
Breaking her silence over the review threat, AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalitha today said the question of support to the BJP-led government at the Centre was quot;still under reviewquot;. Talking to mediapersons at the wedding of daughter of a senior partyman in Chennai, AIADMK supremo, said in reply to a question, quot;I cannot set any time-frame. It issue of support is still under review.quot;

Tohra to meet jathedars
Gurcharan Singh Tohra, president of Shiromani Gurdawara Parbandhak Committee SGPC, is likely to hold a joint meeting of Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh and other two high priests, on September 1, to resolve the ongoing confrontation between them. Tohra, who left for Nagpur today, sent his special emissary Prem Singh Chandumajra, MP, to Amritsar to convey his message to Ranjit Singh.

Postal services to cost more
Postal services in the country will turn dearer from August 31 with the government deciding to steeply hike the tariff for various services including post covers, registration and parcel. The hike, however, has left ordinary post cards and inland letter untouched.
