Insurance opened to pvt sector
In a far-reaching decision, the government has approved a proposal to amend the Indian Patents Act providing for mail box and exclusive marketing rights EMR. The Cabinet, which met tonight, also approved a proposal to amend the Indian Insurance Act and Life Insurance Act to enable the entry of the private sector, says a report from New Delhi.

Direction on use of Punjabi
The Punjab government has decided to take strict measures to enforce the use of Punjabi by government officers in different government departments.
