While the chief executive committee CEC of the ICC will meet in Dubai from June 29-July 4 as part of their AGM, dates have also been set aside for top officials of the IPL and ICC to meet and discuss the upcoming Champions League. If all goes well, the Champions League will be staged immediately after the Champions Trophy concludes in September, though the exact schedule hasn8217;t been fixed as yet.

Also on the agenda is a discussion on whether to include 8216;rebel8217; ICL players in the tournament. The ICL has submitted a list of players international and domestic who played in the ICL this season. IPL commissioner Lalit Modi is not keen to allow ICL players who also represent counties to take part in the Champions League, but the ECB can expect a strong wave of resentment from the counties if that happens. Interestingly, players such as Stuart Law, Nicky Boje, Dale Benkenstein, Darren Maddy and Chris Read are ICL players who led their counties.
