CGCC officials elected

VADODARA, July 5: One nomination each for the posts of president and honorary secretary and two each for the posts of vice-presidents and joint honorary secretaries of the Central Gujarat Chamber of Commerce CGCC for 1998-99 and 1999-2000 were received from the elected and co-opted members of the CGCC managing committee on Friday.

As a result, Bhupendra Ratilal Patel and Rampal Omkarmal Gupta were elected as the unopposed president and honorary secretary, respectively.

Hargovinddas C Thakkar was elected as vice-president having polled 23 votes while his competitor Ishwarbhai D Patel polled 15 votes. Pramodrai S Vyas was elected as joint honorary secretary having polled 27 votes, while his contestant Kantibhai G Patel polled 11 votes.

Thirty eight of the 42 voters exercised their franchise.
