Militants today exploded a carbomb when an Army convoy was passing through central Srinagar injuring two jawans critically, official sources said.
A parked Maruti car laden with explosives went off near a hospital at Bemina at 9.50 am when an Army convoy was passing through the area, they said. Two jawans were injured when their vehicle was hit by splinters, the sources said.
Security forces cordoned off the entire area and launched a manhunt for the attackers. The powerful explosion shattered window panes of many houses at Bemina and adjoining areas. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
