TIRUCHI, July 22: The TN Cable TV Owners Association has urged the Centre to allow State governments to issue licences for cable TV networks. It has also called for separate board to deal with issues concerning the cable TV industry. On entertainment tax, the association has called for conversion of the levy into a compound tax by grading the Corporation, municipal town panchayat and panchayat areas.
