
CHANDIGARH, Feb 8: Naveen Singh, the cable operator who was arrested here yesterday following a raid on his premises, was today bailed out by Chief Judicial Magistrate Sant Parkash.
The operator was arrested by the CIA under Sections 52-A, 63 and 68 of the Copyright Act.The police raided the premises of Channel Four, Sector 22, being run by Chandigarh Cable Operator8217;s Network while they were screening a new Hindi movie allegedly without obtaining its copyright.Raids were conducted following a complaint by Arun Sondhi, a representative of Impact, a Delhi-based organisation, which looks after the interests of copyright holders.
