IndusInd Bank posts 62 pc gain
Indusind Bank has recorded a 62 per cent increase in net profits by touching the Rs. 25.02 crore for the first quarter of 1999-2000 as against Rs. 15.43 crore in the previous corresponding period.

The operating profit of the bank has also gone up by 80 per cent to Rs. 45.10 crore as against Rs. 25.04 crore. Total income increased to Rs. 188.58 crore in the April-June 1999 period compared to Rs. 173.94 crore in the same period last year.

Parakh foods launches sunflower
Prakh Foods Limited, the flagship company of Parakh group Ltd, Pune, has launched Gemini sunflower edible oil in one litre Tetra Pak packages. The new Tetra Pak packages are currently being introduced in Pune and Bangalore and later be expanded to the other cities.

Kaushal8217;s solar water heater
The Pune-based Kaushal Equipments P Ltd claims to have made a major breakthrough with the introduction of its unique Day and Night Domestic water heater. In this, water is heated by means of solar collectors which absorb the sun8217;s heat and transfer it to the water during the day. Hot water is stored in an insulated tank for use at any time.
