Bangalore, July 18: The Bookmakers Association of Bangalore called off their five-day agitation against the decision of the BTC Stewards to uphold two dubious objections which had hurt them the most, following hectic negotiations here Friday afternoon. The book-makers will be back in action from Saturday.

The unscheduled talks between the BTC Stewards, including the government nominees, and the Bookmakers Association today resulted in reaching an amicable settlement.8217; 8220;The talks today met the expectations of the book-makers, and we decided to call off the strike,8221; the spokesman of the association said.
