CHENNAI, FEB 19: The BJP on Friday sought repolling in Danapur constituency in Bihar from where RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav is seeking a re-election, alleging that violence and rigging marred the polling process.

Speaking to media persons, BJP general secretary M Venkaiah Naidu said the party will also seek repoll in 60 booths in constituencies where elections were held in the second phase yesterday in Bihar.

However, Naidu expressed confidence that the BJP would be able to win with a comfortable majority in Bihar. In Orissa and Haryana, the party would win with two-thirds majority, he said.

He reiterated that the NDA would be strengthened after the elections and the Congress would suffer a major crisis.

On NCP leader Sangma’s inclusion in Constitution review panel, Naidu said it was unfair on the part of Congress to criticise the inclusion.

Replying to a query on Chief Vigilance Commissioner N Vittal’s drive against corruption, Naidu said that his party always supported the campaign against corruption. “My leader has come out with flying colours out of all the corruption charges. It is those who face charges who should be afraid.”
