The BJP has announced candidates for byelections to four Assembly and three legislative council seats in UP and Uttarakhand, besides the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat. The byelections are due on August 29. The Central Election Committee of the party that met on Thursday approved the names. Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri will be party8217;s candidate in Dhumakot, which has been vacated by Congress strongman T P S Rawat who has defected to the BJP. Dinesh Sarangi is the party candidate for Jamshedpur LS seat.
