Bhupathi wins first qualifier

DUBAI, February 8: Indian tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi had an easy sailing in the first qualifier at the 1 million Dubai tennis Open here, beating American Jim Grabb 6-2, 7-6.Bhupathi has to win two more qualifying matches before making it to the singles main draw. He plays Belgian Fernon Wibier in the second qualifier.Bhupathi, who spent his school days in Dubai and Muscat, said he was confident of 8220;doing well in the doubles8221; partnering Leander Paes.
