AFTER dabbling in film production with Tamanna and Dushman, it is learnt that Pooja Bhatt is currently considering the option of turning director. There is some talk of her wanting to adapt Oliver Stone8217;s U Turn into Hindi, with John Abraham in the leading role. Tentatively titled Jism, the movie will be produced by Bhatt herself under her newly launched banner, Fish Eye Productions. Meanwhile, Sur, which she has just produced, and which stars Lucky Ali and new find Gauri Karnik, is finding no buyers in Bollywood, we hear. Sad, considering the early buzz from those who8217;ve seen the film is positive.
Bhoot scares Junior B
TO think they made so much of a hype and hoopla over Ramgopal Varma signing Abhishek Bachchan8230; Apparently, the Junior B was approached by Varma to play a starring role in his horror film, Bhoot, but the young actor turned down the offer. Stepping into his shoes is Ajay Devgan, who snapped up the part immediately. The actor, high on the rave reviews he8217;s received for both Company and The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, is fast establishing himself as a fixture in the Verma camp.
Dev gets his due
MAKING waves in Bollywood is model-turned-actor Rahul Dev. After that impressive performance in Asoka, he8217;s immensely excited about his role in Kalpana Lajmi8217;s Kyon, which he has just begun filming. According to the grapevine, he plays the most pivotal part in the film, and that has been the reason several actresses including Riya Sen, Neha Dubey and others didn8217;t want to be a part of the project. Lajmi is supposedly so impressed with the model-actor that she8217;s signed him up for her next film too. Titled Sinhasan, and loosely based on the life of Laloo Prasad Yadav, Lajmi had earlier hoped to cast Govinda in the main role. There is some talk of Karisma starring as Rabri Devi opposite Rahul Dev.

SHE has been voted by America8217;s People magazine as one of the worst dressed women in Hollywood. Ironically enough, the role Demi Moore will always be best remembered for, is the one for which she didn8217;t wear very much anyway, in Striptease. Desi filmmakers haven8217;t quite mustered up the confidence to remake that film in Hindi, but the sexy actress has inspired a bunch of Bollywood imitations8230;
8226; Neelam in Sauda, inspired by Demi Moore8217;s role in Indecent Proposal 8226; Juhi Chawla in Karobar, inspired by Demi Moore8217;s role in Indecent Proposal 8226; Sheeba in Pyaar Ka Saaya, inspired by Demi Moore8217;s role in Ghost 8226; Manisha Koirala in Khauff, inspired by Demi Moore8217;s role in The Juror

After the Bhagat Singh biopic, Sunny Deol is now making a film called Gandhi. Does it matter?
Gracy Singh: 8216;8216;Oh yes. I will certainly check out the film. I8217;m a big fan of historic films.8217;8217;
Parmeet Sethi: 8216;8216;I won8217;t go see the movie just because Sunny Deol is making it. I8217;ll wait for the reviews before I decide if I want to spend three hours watching it. And if five other film-makers also decide to make a film on Gandhi, I won8217;t watch any.8217;8217;
Sushama Reddy: 8216;8216;Current issues are so boring, it8217;s probably more interesting to watch historic films. I8217;d like to see this Gandhi.8217;8217;
Sanjay Suri: 8216;8216;I8217;m not a Sunny Deol fan. However, I have no problems watching different films. I8217;d watch it only if I hear it8217;s a good film.8217;8217; Story continues below this ad
Kiron Kher: 8216;8216;Please don8217;t ask me any questions on Sunny Deol!8217;8217;
