Chennai, Jan 5: As the National Squash championships meandered into the third day there was nothing spectacular with the seeded players making mincemeat of the opposition.

Second seed Akhil Behl, who looks extremely focussed during the match showed why he is ranked high in the country. Playing against local boy Bala Murugan, Akil brushed aside the challenge of Bala in a contest which produced riveting rallies. Akil won 9-2, 9-5, 9-2 in the second round at MCC, on Monday. Dhiraj Singh, who is seeded No 3 did the demolition job to perfection by inflicting a nightmarish defeat on Kumarpal Singhvi, who failed to take a single point.
