So how did Shool happen to you?Ramu (Ram Gopal Verma) saw Raman Raghav, a television project starring Raghuvir Yadav and approached me.What projects have you done so far?I have done a couple of regional films, Malayalam and Bengali. I have also done a Hindi feature film, Aakh Micholi and episodes for Star Bestsellers.Which are your favourite locales for shooting?I like shooting in Kerala, Sikkim. Even Bihar is good. We shot a lot of Bihar in Shool. It's a different kind of place.Now that you have worked both for the big as well as small screen, what do you prefer?The big screen, but actually it is basically the story. If the story is thrilling, then I enjoy working on it. Though of course the celluloid has much more scope.So how was the experience shooting for Shool?It was very exciting. It was great working with Ramu.Now that you have a done a couple of films, what do you think makes a good film?For the success of a film the script is very important. If you have a good story the technique follows. So how is it shooting in Pune, your hometown?It is nice to be back home. My parents are here. Shooting here relaxes you completely.So which cinematographer do you admire?I really appreciate Subrato Mitra. He has done Satyajit Ray's films.
