Barnala says rape case against son false

Breaking his silence on the issue, Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala on Saturday said the rape case against his MLA-son Gaganjit Singh was 8220;false8217;8217;.

Breaking his silence on the issue, Tamil Nadu Governor Surjit Singh Barnala on Saturday said the rape case against his MLA-son Gaganjit Singh was 8220;false8217;8217;.

8220;I will not say anything beyond this that this is a false case as it may hamper investigations,8217;8217; he said.

Asked on what grounds he was saying that the case was false, the TN Governor refused to elaborate.

Meanwhile, Gaganjit Singh on Saturday decided to move a fresh bail application after a local court said it was too early to decide on the one already moved by him as forensic reports were still awaited.
