Bare necessities

From Abu-Sandeep to Ritu Kumar, she has worked with them all. A decade ago there was no getting away from Alison Kanuga. Her lithe walk and svelte figure made her the perfect muse for most fashion designers.But now, this clotheshorse is wiping off the pancake and hanging up her designerwear. Alison plans to retire from the ramp. quot;I am bored,quot; she says. Instead, she is going to concentrate on playing mother to her two children.

quot;They keep me really busy 8212; between school and private tuitions,quot; she says.But not that busy that she does not find the time to light up. Alison enjoys her cigarette which is why she never leaves home without her lip balm. And not a lighter or a pack of ciggies? Her lips tend to chap because of her smoking. quot;I think my lips get more dry because I smoke,quot; she says. At home, she has three jars of lip balm in every room. And yet she is not brand conscious. Says Alison, quot;Anything will do, even Vaseline petroleum jelly.quot;
